Giganotosaurus - how big he is
Hi, I'm planning to build a base on pillars and I'd like to make it high enough so Giga could walk under it. I actually never met Giga face-to-face so I was wondering, how many pillars should be high enough for it? Thx guys

Iirc, because of his AoE, you need to go over 14 walls high to avoid attack.

He's probably too fat to walk between the pillars..

But at least the main part of the base will be out of reach, make sure you use metal pillars. Anything else and he will just knock your base down.

As for the height, sorry, I do not know that either. But I would guestimate at least a bare minimum of 10 just to get it about the level of his head.

Thx guys, so I guess 10 walls high and all metal should be enough :)

at the moment have one standing next to my castle from the advanced architecture mod. he is as tall as 2 walls and each castle wall is 5 vanilla walls high.

So I would make it at least 15 pillars high and maybe 20 to be safe :)

20 pillars high? What that cause problems with how tall the bulding could be then because of the max distance off the ground thing?

Like I said, 10 pillars I believe will put it just above their head. It would still be able to chomp thru the floor, I think. Not certain. I would go a bit higher just to be certain. 15 should be fine.

Huge. You should go to carno island defore you get there a mountain in both side of the river has serval running around. Stay away their bite radius is ridiculously large.
If I had to make an estimate I'd say they're about Way Too Big x Unreasonably Stupidly Oversized. Maybe 666 walls high? Not that walls matter.

giga is AS tall as a behemoth gate, which is about 6 or so high, put it at least 1 higher and you should be good

Behemoth gate is a lot taller than 6. It's about 10 I would guess. The walls are 5 high in this screenshot, you can see that it is about halfway.

behe gates are 7 wide 14 or 16 tall. id have to log in to check exact height, but i saw some one with a beghe gate and a gigia inside. the roof was right above its head at 14 if i recall. so 15-16 walls shoudl be fine.

the thing is as long as it does not get shot, see you, or see your dinos it wont attack. and i do think aoe will go threw walls if its against it. so dont place dinos near walls.

I made a place big enough for 2 gigas, it was 16 long by 10 wide by 10 high. I might be off on the height downloading update.
