But at least the main part of the base will be out of reach, make sure you use metal pillars. Anything else and he will just knock your base down.
As for the height, sorry, I do not know that either. But I would guestimate at least a bare minimum of 10 just to get it about the level of his head.
So I would make it at least 15 pillars high and maybe 20 to be safe :)
20 pillars high? What that cause problems with how tall the bulding could be then because of the max distance off the ground thing?
Like I said, 10 pillars I believe will put it just above their head. It would still be able to chomp thru the floor, I think. Not certain. I would go a bit higher just to be certain. 15 should be fine.
Behemoth gate is a lot taller than 6. It's about 10 I would guess. The walls are 5 high in this screenshot, you can see that it is about halfway.

the thing is as long as it does not get shot, see you, or see your dinos it wont attack. and i do think aoe will go threw walls if its against it. so dont place dinos near walls.
