How to increase bronto egg spawns
Hey guys,

I'm playing on a PvE server and i'm located on the hidden lake (22/69).

I've come across a lvl 68 sabretooth on my server (put him in a little cage so i can tame him when i'm ready). Obviously I wanna tame him the best way possible since it'll be quite a long time before I'll find something better.
It happens to be that I just tamed a lvl 66 bronto aswell. (I know I need bronto eggs to make the kibble)

So my question is: how do I increase bronto egg spawn?

I've read several posts about how to 'improve' egg drops so here are a few things i've already done:

- Oviraptor (as soon as i logg in i'm going to get one of these)
does anyone know if having a male/female or both give benefits?

- Mate boosted (i've read this increases dropchances)
So my lvl 66 bronto is male. I'm gonna get another (low lvl) female bronto as soon as i get.

This is pretty much what i have to increase egg drops.
I've read posts where they say it's better to seperate your dino's. Since it's only possible for 6-8 eggs to spawn in a certain range. Can anyone confirm?

Also something I found: My T-rex hasn't layed eggs before. But yesterday I took him out to guard the lvl 66 bronto while I was taming it. And i got 3 eggs in an hour. Like wtf? I was standing next to it taking care of the bronto (sometimes i flew off with my ptera to get some narco's from base etc). not sure if they dropped while i was gone. It usually took a while for me to notice. 1 egg surely dropped next to me while i was standing there.

Just for your guy's information my dino list:

4 Dodo's: 1 male, 3 females
5 Dilo's: 2 males, 3 females
1 Stego: female
2 Carno's: 2 males
2 Sarco's: 1 male, 1 female
1 Bronto: Male
1 Trike: (not sure)
1 Ptera: (not sure)
1 Argentavis: (not sure)
1 T-rex: (not sure)
1 Doedicarus: (not sure)

I hope someone can help me or give me tips on how to increase my bronto egg gathering since I realy wanna tame this sabre perfect or near perfect :D

First of all i'm not an english native so i hope you can unterstand everything.
1) Oviraptor - you need just one, but he/she have to be near the bronto and stand on wandering for the buff. put stones in his inventory so he will not wander, but the buff will still be there.
2) mate boost - for much eggs you will need it. so get a female :)
And at least - your dinos have to be loaded for laying eggs. So if your far away from them and no other player is near their location, they will not lay any egg.
If there is something i forgot, anyone else will say it :)

ugh its random, u need just more females to lay more eggs!
tame low ones coz its quick... level doesnot effect egg laying sp get 4 females and see they lay eggs...
(also 1 thing i m not sure about is that force feed stimberys to make them poop there is a little chance that out of 10 poops 1 time will be an egg poped out, i dont know u can test that)

Okay thanx i'll just get 1 and the stones thing is a good tip!

So i'll try to get 2-3 more females bronto's asap.

You might also want to Trant that saber from time to time (or even better, keep him tranqued), because wild dinos can sometimes despawn or glitch out of cages.

Never heard of a limit to eggs in a certain area, and I've definitely seen more than 6-8 eggs next to my dodos at the same time.

Doesnt the 'poop' thing only work on dodo's? i'm not sure but i think i've read somewhere that only the dodo's are different.
But so stimberries increase the poop rate?

This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Had around 20 scorpions close to each other (2 male) and nearly all of them laid 1-2 eggs, next to them were raptors and they laid eggs too, next to them were our rexes and they laid too and so on

Soo just clump everything together :P. Now recently i've read about '2 layer maps' or something like that.

I'm on the elevated part of the 'hidden lake' do my eggs fall through the floor here?

It can always happen that eggs "bug" through the ground/structures no matter where you are. That is a big problem of the game

Oviraptor buff only works if they are mate boosted. An Ovi Buff on an unmated Dino does nothing. Get your Dinos mate boosted first.

And just to mention it - you must have a female - only female dinos are laying eggs :) So how AlphaFerkel said - first you need a female one. And yep, the ovibuff will only get on mateboosted dinos.

It can happen, but I can vouch it is extremely uncommon on the elevated portion of the Hidden Lake, as I've had quite a lot of eggs have no issue with falling through the ground. I have had them fall through the wooden floor, but they were always on the ground beneath when I went looking.

yea i know. i've had dilo's and dodo's laing tons of eggs. and for some reason my solo female T-rex is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eggs since yesterday. Got 4 in 2-3 hours

got the female bronto aswell. And an oviraptor. No eggs as of yet. Same for my Sacro couple. they haven't spawned any eggs yet for some reason. :(
