Trikes: First one was a dark green female so I named her Jade. Subsequent ones also were green, so they're all green semiprecious stones: Jade, Turquoise, and Chalcedony.

As a geologist I highly approve!! Many of my dinos have stone-related names. My poison wyvern is named Malachite, and my burgundy Challis are named Jasper and Cinnabar. I also have a green Stega named Jade, and a yellow-green Allo named Seraphin.

Brontos: At my wife's behest, our first bronto was named Emily, with subsequent ones to be named Charlotte and Anne. Either you're groaning right now or wondering what the theme is.
I AM SO USING THESE!!!!! Bookworms unite!!!

We also have dinosaurs with names alluding to characters from Firefly, Babylon 5, a Credence Clearwater Revival song, David Brin's Startide Rising (icthys naturally), and some who have no particular theme (why is our scorpion named Judy? I don't know).
I thoroughly approve! Most of my Procoptodons are named after Dr. Who Characters, and my Black lightning wyvern is named Darkstar after the CSN song. If you get two more scorpions you could also name them Judy and have Judy, Judy, Judy (Cary Grant, anyone???)

A lot of the times I'll name my dinos after characters on shows or relating to their specific function. For example my rexes named Archer and Lana or my oxegen anky for harvesting oil, Scuba. Though I did steal a name I liked frome someone on reddit, my argy named American Pidgeot.
