Transfer an ark from a non-dedicated/local server to a dedicated server?
I'd like to keep my ark saved world that my friends and I have been playing as a non-dedicated server and run it as a dedicated server but when I run a dedicated server the world is blank. Does anyone out there know how to do this?

go into your steam folder on your local machine

"Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal"

Open folder on dedicated server machine.

"ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks" folder.

To move ark, you need to move all .ark files, including any incremental saves.

To move tribe/s move all .arktribe files

moving the .bak files wouldn't hurt either just in case.

also if you want to move your game.ini and gameusersettings.ini, go back one level and go into Config folder

"\ShooterGame\Saved\Config" and move your inis there

once that is done, boot up the dedicated server and have at it.

Good Luck.

Probably that technique can also be used to move things from one computer to another?

I don't know if this will be the same going from Local to Dedicated, but when we wanted to move a local singleplayer from one person's machine to a non-dedicated on another, we needed to make sure the originall player could still use his character.

The local/singleplayer game uses the file LocalPlayer.arkprofile for the character, but on a dedicated (or non-dedicated if you are not the person logged in locally) it has to be steamID.arkprofile. Once that was changed, the character worked.

thank you

you need to find your steam64 id not the one you listed there

once you have that you go to your SavedArks folder in your server folder and rename LocalPlayer.arkprofile and LocalPlayer.profilebak into yoursteam64id.arkprofile and yoursteam64id.profilebak so you can use your character

example: 12345678901234567.arkprofile , 12345678901234567.profilebak

Just go to your profile and put /?xml=1 in the end of the URL.

Whithin the XML you get the steamID64

Here a sample of my Id:
