Unable to tame a level 1 Brontosaurus

Hi Guys,

I managed to finally knock a Brontosaurus out, but for some reason Im unable to tame it.

I'm keeping the unconscious level high. I have the following supplies in his inventory.

8 Narcotics
400 Narco Berries
500 mejo berries
900 of the Blue berries
500 of the stem berries
1000 Ama Berries
1000 of the red berries

And nothing, for over a couple hours, not even a smidge of taming :( what am I doing wrong?

Are you on a private server/singleplayer? Sounds like you might have dino hunger turmed waaaaaay down. If it does not get hungry, it won't eat. No eating = no taming.

are u on official server??
minimum narco on a lvl 1 bront is 14 according to the taming guide i use

are u force feeding the narcos when it drops?? it wont eat it by itseft.

Is this on official server, private, single player? Did you change any of the sliders? I'm just thinking maybe you changed the hunger and that's why.
I think others have reported similar issues, in the inventory is the "food" stat decreasing? It only tames when it eats and it only eats when it's hungry ;)

If you are in single player then I suggest turn the dino hunger slider to 1 or maybe 1.1 to see if it fixes your problem.

Can't remember which dino I had this problem with a while ago. But it's hunger got down by a few hundred points and it wasn't eating. So I had to take everything out and put it all back in then it started to eat.

Also watch the food lvl on it if it's not decreasing then dino hunger lvl maybe turned to far down of on a private sever. If it you may want to do the old force feed it stimberries to reduce the food lvl and feed it narcos or narco berries to keep it out.

AHHH! I seriously love every single one of you. It was the food bar, I turned it back to normal, it started eating and the taming bar is going up. <3 <3 <3 You guys are the best, thanks so much everyone!!!!!

had same prob with other solution ill just type it if anyone will got same prob.... im on server every dino can be normaly tamed but when i try tame bronto and give him all sorts of berries(not stimbery) it say's put food in inventory.... the solution is put there stimbery tho(then take them out idk he eated them xD) sorry for bad eng

For some reason today I thought I would take a look at ARK again. I game I know all too well. Seeing your post reminded me of hellish itme sink the game has in it.

When scorched earth launched I was runnign a tribe on official and we had the first wyverns on the sever. They were a nightmare to hatch. Then they raised the cap to 180.. So I got a couple 180 eggs and did full imprints on those as well.

Thank you for reminding me of what ARK is all about. Watching a progress bar.

^^ Agreed, positively cancerous. When I read on the wiki that you're looking at several days of farming wyvern milk for babies, i took my wyvern dreams to my unofficial server, where taming and maturation speed has been drastically increased. seems cheesy but why sit there when there's no pvp aspect lol!

on the PVP end, I didn't waste time with high level tames when C4 and RPG's pretty much end dino threats. I feel sorry that you did, but it must have been quite the achievement, fending off attacks while raising wyvern chicks (? draglets? lol)

Need to see your server settings, if possible. why not take a few screens of your config menu or game.ini, and the associated files?

If you tampered with the value for dino taming speed, or dino hunger, that would explain it!

Hi Guys, wow, thanks so much for all the responces. I found my answer. I was on single player, I set the food levels to the bottom so there was no need to eat. Once I increased the food consumption rate it fixed it, the Bronto ate and I eventually tamed it.
