Dino Collision
Does anyone else find it agrivating when doing dino convoys? My dinos always get stuck on eachother and its usually the tip of their tail or their snout cause they run all the way up into eachothers bums (I have them linked 1 by 1 to help prevent this issue). It would be nice if they fixed the dino collision for personal tamed dinos. Such as allowing them to run through eachother or make their collission box smaller. I'm always having to jump off and fix them after a fight as they all get stuck on eachother. Now since the balance instead of using one dino to hunt I've found its a much better idea to take a pack of direwolfs like 3 or 4 maybe even 5 depending what your hunting to take things down safely and efficiently. However they always get stuck on eachother or i get stuck inthem when they surrond me. Does anyone know if they plan on adjusting this or tweaking something to make it occur less or not at all? Also no I don't mean for them to completly remove collision allowing you to walk through objects only dinos.

I feel like it would be better if dinos following other dinos went less up eachother butts. I can picture people using the noclipping feature between tamed dinos to make super compact eggfarms which would contribute heavily to lag in a focussed area.

Ive been trying the same method using Carnos both to see how efficient it is as well to get an idea how Allosarus will work since they are going to be an intended pack hunter. They do get stuck or jammed up charging (Side note: Devs please allow Allys to break trees! >_< even if only a temp until the pathing UI gets updated). One fix I tried with mixed results is picking one as alpha i guess, boost its speed higher than the others as well as HP and it should get in to the fight first unless it gets stalled trying to pass you. As i said mixed results but varied speeds do help to stagger them out so its not just a wall trying to push each other in to trees and rocks.

Damn that was longer than I intended >> Ok In short Yes! Expect a collision update down the road, hyenadons might work since their smaller than sabers but when the allosaurus comes out it will be needed, Larger than a carno, smaller than a rex so size alone demands a collision update for a proper release.

they could make it so it only did it while following or something. or only if its following you that kinda thing.

Making hitboxes "smaller" is not optional, making them be able to pass through eachother is even worse of an idea. The only thing that needs improvement is the pathing AI of following dinosaurs.

Is it a matter of hitboxes? Because it doesnt seem at all like this hitbox is a box. If a quetz, or argent stops over me while on a doed and looks down at me (as they usually do) ill be stuck untill i dismount and make an ordeal out of it. The beak alone is enough to lock me in place. Same with mammoth tusks, and really any other dino with an appendage. Cant those parts of the dinos be set to No-clip? There was a bug last week that caused me to fall through dinos like the quetz and the bronto after dismounting, it also allowed me and other dinos to walk right through other dinos after pushing forward for 2 seconds. for that week dino convoys worked for me and my wife REALLY well. Sucked i couldnt dismount the quetz without falling, but it had a nice side effect.

I do agree better AI is the best option.

I've posted about the collision frustrations a while back - https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/530649887215126200/

Seems we'll have to wait until just before release for *new* AI. Until then I'd be happy if they just add Pet Command - YOU follow TARGET so I can at least buffer myself from the pack without having to struggle to get LOS for setup.
