Breeding only for mixing the stats?
Hi,

I read some guudes and wiki. I'm still not sure, if i do understand breeding right:
With breeding you only mix the stats to get the best of two parents.
You need to find unthamed dinos, that have high native level.

Till now, i found only young dinos at ~20-30 range. Only rex are leveling in the wild very fast.
And if the server is resetting wild life, it starts again from low level.

So.. to get 300% meele damage I must first find a wild dino with all points in MD.
Is this right? All Demosticated leveling and playing is worthles for thaming?

1. Find wild dino with at least one good stats
2. tame it and hope that the bonus level go mainly in the high stat
3. repeat step 1&2 till you have female & male
4. let them have some fun and get a fertilized egg
5. hope that the hatched baby inherit both high stats.
6. repeat until the baby has all the desired stats high

So if you tame for a example a level 120 dino and it ends up as lets say level 170, this dino has 169 wild level statpoints spend, which are random distributed to the 7 stats (health, stamina, oxygen, food, weight, dmg, speed - but speed is oboslet cuz wild dinos cant increase it - wasted stat points)
And mostly you hope for either high health, stamina, weight, dmg - food/oxygen/speed are just for funny high levels of the baby.

Wild dinos don't level up, they spawn with a random level and stay this way till tamed or killed. dino wipes on the server won't affect the level distribution in any way.
If you diden't see anything higher than level 30, your server probably has a low difficulty setting, or you are extremely unlucky to net find high level ones.

So... to check which of my dinos has the best stat for dmg i need to note down the stats that the tamed dino has after taming and not the stats while it is still unconscious. becouse while it is unconscious the bonus will get inherited too and are not distributed?
