I have been able to place the plots on my boat if I am able to put a roof/foundation tile exactly one story beneath it. This has to be a bug and I have only encountered it when building a boat. The bigger issue is that this is costing far too many structure slots on the raft and is preventing me to finishing the boat as I want it.
When I put the plot down and then go to the floor below and remove the roof/foundation one story below it, the large crop plot disappears as well. Very frustrating.
Here is what I am going to try next: I will put down a plot, plant an xplant on it. Then when fully grown I will go and remove the floor beneath it and see if it destroys the plot and kills the plant as well. My hopes (fleeting as they may be) is that the plant will somehow change the state the crop is in from a code perspective and it wont have this bug where it is looking to the floor below for some reason.
PS is there way I can report this bug?
