Megapiranhas are to Ark what Cliffracers are to Morrowind
Annoying little pests that are everywhere and aggro on you from a mile away and are constantly harassing you and interfering with what you're doing. All while serving next to no other purpose. Although the Cliffracers are worse since they can fly and give you diseases.

At least Morrowind had a mod you could get to lower Cliffracer population, or even remove them all together.

On a private server & single player you can completely remove, reduce or replace the Piranaha spawn with another fish, like the Coel.

This is from the website TV Tropes. The page talks about small, very annoying groups of enemies in games. You can search google for "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Bats" to find it lol.

How do you do that?

In the Game.ini you would put this in place to remove the pirahna and make them spawn as Coel's instead

If I remember the syntax correctly been awhile since I used it to disable the Gigas spawning on my single player world.

How about just reducing their numbers a bit?
DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Piranha,SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.5,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.2)

0.5 = the chances a Piranha will spawn when another dino dies.

0.2 = max percentage of total dino population that Piranha's will occupy.

1.0 is the baseline.

Thanks everyone. That should help even things out a bit.
I die more to pirahna then just about anything else in the game. Pirahna also tend to attack injured targets more then non injured unless in pack. Please reduce pirahna in wild, give pack status, lower aggro range, and give compy mentality to pirahna where they just stair at you until another pirahna shows up.
I agree they need adjustment, even disregarding my dislike for them. They don't even seem to act like other carnovores. I've *never* seen them attack anything that isn't me, or tamed by me. All these other defenseless fish all over the place they could get their fill of yet they only care about me.

They seem to exist for the sole purpose of being annoying, especially for newbies.

False. Just one single type that isn't so much a threat as it is an annoyance that serves no other purpse. I didn't even remove them, I reduced their spawn rate.

I have no problem with the 100 other things that are much more lethal, they have a meaningful role.

More than any of that, though, what I am doing in single player is no concern of yours.

Spinos usually handle that for me.
op probly is low level and doesn't have anything to counter them, don't you think..? :p
