Christmas items gone...

Not sure if this is was intended or what, but every single light, tree, snowman, wreath, anything decorative is now gone. The only thing remaining for me is the hats... If it's a bug then okay i get it. It happens. But i kind of farmed the misletoe to put lights up in my cabin. Log in and it's all gone. Seems like a bug to me but idk, either way that "grab it while it lasts" speil... totally wasted.

It was intended because "The servers can't handle them (decorations) year round".

I'm not kidding that's a direct quote.

Anyways, if their servers are so bad off they can't handle a few extra items, then they have a lot more problems than just bad dino balancing.....

Same thing happened with the halloween stuff I was sad to see my pumpkins and scarecrows go.

ya i get to keep the derpy items and i lost my neat tree on my bronto base and all my lights around my house and all the lights i was making and had made for my new house :( let alone all the crystal it ate :( why did we get to keep some things but not everything? should of let us KEEP xmas stuff and just take santa away. when we run out we run out.

The official servers can't even handle the game while doing it's backup every 20 or so minutes. That's what that big lag spike is you keep getting. I'm assuming they will upgrade when they get closer to official release.

WOW i can't believe this is a legit decision lol. What the hell was the point? I mean people went ape over getting to those drops. On our server it's PvE and we had to establish rules because it got ugly lol. All for nothing. I wish they mentioned they were temp items because i mean... forget it. What's the point?

I was just getting back into the game when this event started, i survived the deep cold got myself an argie and farmed it. Lost 2 argies to random dino's and was killed a few times lol. Risked my Quetz that i eventually got several times and just... POOF! Thanks for your participation. LOL! I normally tell people to keep calm when things get ugly on this forum... but this is total bs and that event was a complete waste of time.

Posted over there as well. WE won't spend Any time or effort in the future on any of that stuff. We'll play other survival games that let us keep our stuff as well. This has become our not-around-any-holiday game.
