Splitscreen on PC?

There's a few good games on steam that supports Local Co-Op and I was hoping that Ark can do so as well because they've done it for Xbox One. I like buying specific games for my niece and nephews so when they come over we can all play and having splitscreen for this game will certainly help expand my enjoyment. I don't like taking turns playing a game and then having to pass a controller around.

Do you know what SPLIT screen is? it is not TWO screens, it is each player having half a screen each. And maybe you need to realise most peoples PCs are MORE powerful than an XBOX One so if an Xbox One can do it then a PC can easily.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know I meant split screen when i said 2 screens. As in 2 screens in 1, do I need to explain it even more for your nitpicking brain?
And you can say Pc's have better specs than any console but can you truly tell me that you never had any Fps drops from just 1 screen? How bad will the fps drops be if both screens (in splitscreen) entered a huge base. Or if even 1 of the 2 enters a huge base they both get FPS drops. Until its optimized people are probably gonna have to put graphics on medium/high for the best split screen experience. And thats on a decent rig.

What.. An alienware alpha is a very powerful PC?.... Stop making me laugh! I can build a PC with the same amount of cash and get at least 25% more power for my buck!

Alienware = You buy the brand name in exchange of better hardware

I Placed so much Love and time into ARK and well...

Awesome game and worth playing but things need to be resolved lets just say that and according to the Layout of the game and what the DEVS decided to build i dont think it will.
Does it make it LESS of a game for it???

Its just not cool with me and thats MY choice that something like split CO-OP which already is a part of the Xbox one is still not here when whatever was developed For the XONE was developed on PC FIRST.

The Developers work hard and have done much and I am thankfull And had Plenty worth for the investment but the console thing turned me off a bit And still sits bad.

Yet I wish them success and great things none the less.

Split-screen for local CO-OP DOES work in fact it already WORKS for ARK.
As stated its on xbox one and WORKING and ARKS split-screen was developed on a PC.
If people do not want the feature thats fine but People do also and since including it does not impair the gameplay of those that do not want it and since its a REAL FEATURE on xbox one which was developed on PC it SHOULD find its way with no problems.

Lets just see though.

just saying ive console commanded pc games into splitscreen creating files and configing controllers and such but itd be easier if it was just an option so that the people who want it can do it and the people who dont can choose not to

i have done multi kb and mouse before but yeah just use xbox controllers and yes my pc plays the krap out of games splitscreen

I hope spiltscreen never comes cause thar might be TOO MUCH because of 1 screen sharing when playing with 2 it might get so confusing and such that u will reconsider it to just 1 player each screen instead of 2 and it isn't really going to be suggestable etc etc
Btw, u wanna prefer having a fight with ur friend while playing with 2 on 1 screen when u try to explain what u wanna do? I don't think so, so think twice before adding splitscreen cause splitscreen is NOT meant to be on pc but only on xbox1 and ps3,4 etc cause pc IS meant to be 1player on 1 screen and no one else

The XBOX ONE Carries a pretty limited hardware im not knocking it for what it is but its not the most powerful setup in the universe but DOES run ARK with split-screen.

That split-screen was developed on a PC.
No one develops games on a console so it starts working from a PC.

Now if someones PC should for whetever reason not be able to run Split-screen mode because of lacking or less powerful hardware then thats to bad and i know that sucks but...

An example

A developer does not remove MAX settings from a PC that CAN run Them because of all the ones that cant.

Max settings STILL have there place and so does Split-screen.

Its all about the ones that can run it and want to run it irregardless of the ones that could care less

Becasue at the end of the day the ones that could care less WONT BE AFFECTED.

But if the feature of split-screen is ignored regardless of the ones that want it well they are the ones badly effected.
