they are very rare, so don't expect to see a lot of them, we have tamed two in two days, found one on northeast corner of the mountian in the northeast (top right) of map cloest to carno island, sorry don't know the cords... and the other one was found on the north most mountain center middle, just before you get to the old snow biome flying west from carno island. hope that helps, we have been searching a lot but they are very rare, so good luck mate.

I just don't get why Kangaroos are spawning on mountains...most Kangaroos are in the plains, forest and savannas in Australia, because thats where they graze at.

there is also a map on the wiki that shows there probably spawn locations, link below...

I found one around 52/44 yesterday morning, but of course it ran off down the black sand beach aggroing every carno along the way and I ended up losing it :( I flew around all morning today trying to find another with 0 luck and am once again wiping all wild dinos on my server to try to get them to spawn. We try to avoid using cheats like force spawning but I'm really getting frustrated.

Just found one 35/32 on one of the little islands in the lake at the base of blue oby mountain.

I just found a way to guarantee a kangaroo, i'm training mine as we speak. Go to where the snow biome meets the jungle at the very east coast of the map at 48-18, i literally mean where the snow meets the earth. at the very coast there's a tiny spawn that spawns a ♥♥♥♥ load of scorpions, tigers, argents, the occasional stego, AND KANGAROOS!!! All you have to do is clear that spawn with a decent rex or something that's pretty battle hefty, then walk along the river clearing the dinos that wandered up stream a bit, just be sure to get at least 25 rex paces away from that coast spawn. Then all you have to do is walk right back and see what's respawned! I cleared this spawn about 10 times and saw 3 kangaroos before I was happy enough w/ the level 36 that spawned. (the others were level 12, i wanted something a little higher, but this is to surprise my wife before she gets home from work :D) So there ya go. Guaranteed Kangaroo tame.

Nice necro. When this post was made the place you're speaking of wasn't like that.
