Beelzebufo Help
So, I tamed a frog, got a saddle, and now I want some more information :D

First, How usefull is the the poison in his attack? I have managed to knock some animal unconscious, but some just died as well. Any hints on using his poison attack? (Are both attacks poison, or just the secondary?)

Second, What is a good stat build? I got him at level 4, and I have given him some more hp and movement speed and damage, but any hints on build?

Frogs beat Scorpions when it comes to taming.

Its torpor damage is based on its attack damage (like most things).
As Darmaniac said, you must wait 10 seconds between each attack, otherwise you do more physical damage than torpor damage.

The frog has the ability to hop away unlike the Scorpion which has to tank damage until the Dino KO's.

My advice is to level (in this order):
  • Melee Damage = 1000% (or above, this will be more useful for KOing large Dinos as it will likely 1-hit kill Dodos, Compys and Penguins etc)
  • Health = Inifitely (Chances are you won't be hit much if you are clever, but HP is generally a good stat to use when you have nothing else worth levelling)
  • Carry Weight = Only enough so that you can ride it with a decent amount of equipment and not be slowed. (Higher carry weight will also let you go nuts on those Dragonfly swarms)

This all depends on what level you tame your Frog at of course. Mine are normally over 100.
I generally find Stamina useless on a Frog as it can cover a LOT of ground through jumping which doesn't eat into stamina much. Even after being stung by Dragonflies, I've never found my Frog out of stamina.
I also ran an experiment and built a full Movement Speed frog. I noticed that it's jump distance and trajectory did not really increase much and neither did it's swim speed. It was kind of a waste.

Enjoy! Frog's are great!

Never really used my frog for taming. Mostly its my paste farming dino. Which it is great at.

Now, is there any huge difference between the two different attacks? Or is one just for multiple hits?

Only diference is the primary attack is longer range and directional, the alt attack is shorter range but has a wide aoe. Alt attack is good for swarms of insects.

^^^ Yup!

I personally only use Primary Attack (forward lick) to KO dinos as sometimes the right click can have unintented conseqences such as multiple hits by accident, or hitting a nearby dino that you don't want to agro.
