Sorry to hear you lost a lot and might lose a lot more.
Hope you have enough farmed stuff so you can start over elsewhere or demolish the mines yourself as controlled as possible.
Unfortunate you had to learn the hard way, especially after thousands of hours. How did you not expect a high explosive compound wrapped inside a metal case to not damage your base? IEDs and C4 are friendly fire as well, aren't they? At least that's what I've always assumed... Don't feel like blowing myself up to check, either.
I've never had a reason to build sea mines, but I will take this into consideration when/if I build a sea base.
