Flying controls ark survival evolved xbox one

I have tamed a pteranodon on my Xbox ark but when I attempt to ride it on a saddle I cannot move once I am on. The follow command works just fine and she is able to move but when I try moving whilst riding it it remains stationary. Please help!

Did you exceed the weight that the dino can carry remember you have to account for your weight and inventory as well and pteras have poor weight limits
