5. might not suck so much after rebalance so start praying
Though I like beelzebufos also. I always take a few from the swamp and tame them at my base. They're so good, and I have like 5 right now. Sarcos are super good also, great base defense dinos.
dodo serve there purpose as designed sarco have no purpose. and comparing a sarco to a dodo kinda proves my point lol
Sarcos are great land/sea creatures for starters. They are easy to tame, and more common around. If you can't handle the use of a Sarco, it's not them. I've had many great adventures with my Sarcos. As for the Dodo to Sarco comparison, what makes a Dodo superior if not trolling?
CON: They bunny hop like crazy when water is involved. They cluster f*** like crazy when groups of them are involed. Although both of those things can be avoided if learned how to. I no longer have these problems. :)
On the flip side, they're slow to ride on land and have an obscene turning radius. Despite their slimness, they're hard to manoeuvre through obstacles such as trees, and they take up a considerable amount of space in our base. Not only that, but getting them to attack anything is difficult as hell, especially in water as you usually shoot past your target without meaning to.
All in all, useful in some situations, especially if you get a lucky drop saddle drop from a purple supply crate, but generally outstripped by other dinosaurs. Not useful to get eggs for kibble, as they are used for stegos.
PvE:
Pretty good starting replacement for all water mounts exept mosa, but it's super lategame.
1. It can kill any wild ocean predator without many wounds due to good speed, great turn rate and ability to quickly move along vertical axis without changing view direction. You need dogfight experience though, you can't tank hits in the beginning (srsly, I managed to kill lvl 80 Plesi on my almost fresh lvl 40 sarco while just trying this mount after taming). Plesi and mosa feel like an oil tanker after Sarco.
2. Probably the most convenient water mount. Farm trilobs if for any reason you wanna do that? Yes (go do that on plesi). Farm Water caves? Yes, just park it inside and out of the water and it's safe from anything wild. Kill that tasty T-rex on the beach? Yes! Use map/GPS/Spyglass while mounted? Yes! Hide it inside your landbase? Yes!
PvP:
Not many uses here, as specialized creatures work better in PvP, but I can confirm, that it's a very good scout, just like the wiki says.
Sarco's are also the fastest swimmer or use to be.
