having problems finding and taming "dolphins"
i know the ARK WIKI and see the map where the "GREEN" area's are, and check all the time but i simply cant find any "dolphins" (ichthy's).

i had one deep in the water, gave him 1 kibble, but he literally swam away from me, i couldnt follow him cause obviously he's faster at swimming than me... so i was really pissed , i even tried to follow him with a raft (friend was driving), then i lost him, and at the beach side i never find any to "cage" them in with walls/fence foundations.

so im really unlucky, and i have questions.

is there anything i can increase my swimming speed with ? i dont mean dinosaurs.
and what should i do ?

i have always tamed ichthys near shorelines. when you feed one, it may swim around a bit, but as long as you dont go into shallow water that they can't follow you into, it should stay in the general area. you and your friend can use your bodies to sort of box them in while you feed them dodo kibbles.

as for finding dolphins.. swim to the edge of the "shelf" (that little area from the beach until where it drops off into deep water) and then swim parallel to shore. if there are any dolphins around, they will start following you.

hope that helps!

you can increase your swimming speed with flippers or you can increase your movement speed and oxygen. High oxygen increases swimming speed a lot.

is there like a cooking food maybe also? cause i got no points for oxygen right now and no flippers cause i didnt reach the level yet.

also btw i checked shorelines i never see any ichthys.
that's the thing about the water-raptors.. easy to tame, hard to find when you want one.. :)

Tame a shark. Then, when you go into the water, you'll have about a million ichys swimming after you, trying to sniff your shark's butt.

Seriously, those things are drawn to other aquatic tames and just mill around you.

i see literally like no life in the ocean... wtf is this. seems kindah bugged because of the event or there's like nothing in general.

also the dolphins seem bugged, normally they always swam to you being curious, now when i follow them they just piss off and leave me , no matter how long i chase them in water, i nearly die.

im supermad right now, cant get a dolphin .... and not even megalodons but they also take forever to tame without kibble or prime meat.
