So whats after the Ice Age. ARK without Dinos ?
then you should not be playing early access which is when all of the experimenting and changes and additions take place. Come back when the game is finished and it won't be like this.
and I doubt that it was the patch that corrupted the save, more likely something on the server computer caused the corruption, since saves aren't touched by the patch...
The rare mintues i was online it looks very well,
like the autumn setting from the Helloween event, and looking forward for some Spring and Summer setting.
But putting some aggresive Argentavis / Predators all over the map without any warning is a little bit rough.
Most people know where the Argentavis/Sabertooth and Direwolfs live and DIDNT build theire base there,
or they protect it very well againt these Predators from the beginning on, stone for stone.
But people at the southcoast build some walls around the base to protect against all other Predators but no Airdefense needed. And now we get an asswhoop from Argentavis everywhere.
Dude again. wtf you are talking about man. stop doubleposting and selfquoting here.
And please no sensless 1 liners without anything to say about the Topic ... thx.
Enemy Tribes ??? at PvE ???
Well since thats your case either way isn't it best to be prepared for anything???, turrets to make your base cooler etc. especially when they implent friendly tribe wars
In general ... Yes, you are right ... BUT
We play on a friendly PvE Server, helping each other out and try to build lovely, stylish or very well and get as much out of the engine as we can. Like Minecraft @ Unreal Engine.
Herbivore Island at the South East is a absolute friendly place without any Carnivores.
I build a little Waikiki Island there (Wood Thatch comination for a better looking) with some Seaworld Aquarium for everyone. Some landing Stages for the boats and so on and so on.
If you have a base without any waterconnection, you can bring your tamed Dolphins, Sharks and whatever to this Island and park it there saftely, i take an eye on it and feed them for ya :)
Also connection to the underwatercaves nearby and be a little tour guide for new ones who never saw a Underwatercave.
No turrets and other metall futuristic stuff is placed on this Carribean Isle. (that doesnt fit very well) Also no power and Generator Sound harms this idylic place to hang out at a campfire on the beach with your friends.
The Isle is lighten up with Cave Trophys and dont need some energy. Also have different colors for special parts of the Isle....
You are into it ? Can u feel and smell the Fresh Air, can you see the coast and the sunset.
Can you hear the surge of waves and the singing dolphin in the far .... ?
and NOW we put a dozen of aggresiv Argentavis right above you and say Merry X-Mas.
Have fun to protect this Island within a second before all tamed Dinos got killed.
Sorry, this was user error not dev error. The devs aren't going to give warnings of everything that can and will happen; if they did the game would be boring. Next time; leave dinos on neutral; IF you don't want them all on neutral get a few dilos, raptors, or even compys and put them on neutral but I don't think it's smart at all to leave a base unguarded on a PVP server, or a PVE server because once again you don't know what's going to happen.
Also as a note; The Devs have never stated that herb island is a safe haven, or will always be a protected area. What's going to happen when the next dangerous creature spawns in that location? Are people going to complain?
Anyone who puts a dino on passive, and than whines about it being killed because it was attacked kind of deserves. It's a survival game, and anything can be killed off line and on line, so why wouldn't you want dinosaurs to be protected at ALL times?
