because noone knows what your machine is, nor what you call "not terrible".
because noone knows what you call "poorly".
because noone knows "fixes" like they are universal spells against bad cold.
facts dude, facts.....
Sure, ark isnt well optimazed, but youre computer is barely low end..
Thing is: youre processor isnt that bad, but youre graphic card is.

For the sake of better accuracy instead of saying you have xyz, go to the steam help menu, click system information and then copy paste all that here so we can more specifically see what steam detects for your comp and any potential discrepancies that may have relevance.
But with that said and just based of the little info you provided, if you're playing on a 1050ti, you're essentially relegated to playing the game in settings that are low-medium in general. If you're attempting to play in settings that are above nvidia geforce experience programs recommended settings for play of ark(use that program to see if you arent already) then you're pushing your system beyond its means and that can be a factor.
Additionally if you are using mods, mods are the second most common source for issues with playing the game(comp system being first). List all mods you're using by name and in their specific load order to see if that's an additional contributor to your issue. Mods obviously put more demand on your comp/game play and that can factor.
Also, if you're playing with custom play settings(not graphic/performance but things like super boosted rates, up'd wild dino count etc) those can also affect performance/demand on your rig.
All in all, your rig is rather limited in its capabilities to handle ark and you need to adjust/rethink your game play likely accordingly.
but wtf is that gpu. its outdated and even when it was released somewhat underpowered
you dont have a gaming pc, you have a workstation for CPU tasks
