How does electricity work?

I want to set up a cryopod storage and I don't know how electricity works in this game

You will need to craft a generator and you will need electrical cable. For that you will need the engram for electronics and for the cables. I recommend watching a youtube about it by Phlinger Phoo or Nooblets.

You will also need gasoline to power the generator.
You'll also want to click a setting in options (pre-menu) which allows collision (you'll need to use the Ghost command in order to put the electric cables on/in the ground.

Generator with gasoline. Then electric cables connecting properly to the generator. Then when cables are close to the cryofridge or other electricity needing things, place a cable box on the electric cable. Smaller wires will appear from the cablebox to the cryofridge etc.

FIRST place cross cable, THEN gen on it and THEN connect cable to gen
then continue with cables until ur close to cryofridge, then connect electric outlet on cable close to cryofridge

Generators can connect via different cables types not just cross tyoe. Order at which the player wants to do it is up to them(ie wire/box to gen or gen to wire/box). There is no "first" thus. I was just giving an example more about the pieces than the actual steps.

like on Atlas forum, where u still didnt apologize for your bigmouth lies and spreading misinformation

steps what i write before are necesarry for right positioning gen and for chance to connect another one / wind turbine
because u need first lay down crosscable, where u can easily position gen because snappoints
then u have basic for your site even when u add later backup gen

as u know, when u learn to play.. Ark have lot of issues.. and u dont get snap points for everything.. this is way how to build properly electricity..

its similar like when u build behe gates, u place fence foundation first (metal one, because cant be destroyed by dinos) and then u snap there behe gate.. because withoiut it.. it dont snap.. but it snap on fence foundation snappoint :).

u need lot of time to learn, kid

do u everytime have no idea what r u talking about, or only in this case?
do u really never read any patchnotes and u just dream up nonsenses?
how is possible u was too lazy do at least basic research and get at least basic knowledge before u will try teach others?
did u really think reality will change by your lies?

edit: and ofc, when u place first crosscable, then u have another thing - best possibility to position it right

and btw: if u dont place that crosscable first, then u can have issue with connecting cable to gen.. because Ark

You werent factually correct in that cited instance nor here in this case either. Your inane wants in that other regard Im afraid are going to be met with the disappointing reality of not happening.

Again you do not need to lay down a cross cable first.

Also factually incorrect. You can place Stone/metal/Tek behemoth gates without placing fence foundations. Same goes for the other gates.

You can opt to place them on there but you're not required to. Behemoth gates are not intended to be snap dependent if you're not using fence foundations due to the different use/needs by players for placing them.

Your inane churlishness aside, again one does not need to limit one's generator to only placing a cross cable nor placing it first. Gen works fine with other cables connected to it instead. In 5000+ hours I've used all manner of variation in this regard because not all placement situations, depending on one's building needs, make for that singular dependency.
