The only other dino related game that is similar that I know of is "the isle", granted its not much better considering they are doing the same thing Wild Card did to ark just without the scummy practice of turning a DLC into a new game to fish up some cash.

Been looking for a long time. Lots of low imitators and false promises, but nothing truly similar. Supposedly Smalland is 1.0 now and has limited taming, but when I played in EA it was more like Enshroude/Moria/Valheim gameplay. Grounded has also had talk of taming the bugs but I haven't renewed gamepass to see if it's happened yet. Conan has a raising/taming mechanic that lets you have almost any non demonic beast type as a companion, and the gameplay does have a lot of similarities... not the least of which being developmental issue and toxic fantribes... Also only like 3-4 animals are rideable. And none of these really scratch that Paleo-geek itch. Have a couple on wishlist I'm hopeful for, but that fades the longer they're TBA.

In grounded you can tame the gnats and aphids that's it, would be cool to tame more.

I have also played Nightingale but cannot recommend, it's rougher than ASA.
Also do NOT buy Grand Emprise or anything by that Dev. Dude has half a dozen games on steam that look like ARK but are straight scamware.
Enshrouded is NOT survival no matter what the ads say, it's a sandbox. It's good, but food and water aren't necessary they just give perks.
That's all I can think of at the current moment.

tried all of those minus "smalland" and can tell that the entire list is waste of time and mostly abbandonware.

LMFAO. Green Hell, FoY, SotF, Conan, Scum and Grounded all still get regular updates and Green Hell, The Forest, SotF, Stranded Deep, SubNautica 1&2, Return to Moria, Grounded and Medieval Dynasty are all completed release games.
I don't think you understand what the term "Abandonware" means... like, at all.
Literally the only game on this list that MIGHT arguably be called abandonware is Raft because it's been so long in EA, but even it gets occasional updates... so... no.
