Given this is the gen pop steam ark forums and not a discussion section specific to that mod, as the workshop page for the mod suggests, you may be more apt to actually use its discord to get a more concentrated set of folks, including the maker, who could more potentially and more readily answer your question.

Unfortunately, as Saear mentions, they removed the invite link for their discord from their ASE workshop page. However, their ASA curseforge page has an active invite link (and they've seemingly rebranded as PrimalChaos on the discord)

But keep in mind this likely also denotes that the mod maker has intentionally abandoned the mod and as they'd labeled it a "Work in progress" back when they were active with it in the workshop, there is no guarantee that the all intents and aspects of the mod are working or will work in the future so be mindful of that.

Thank you Retsam1. The mod creator has moved on to the ASA version.

That said, the Supreme Smelter from the ASE version runs on wood. The item description is wrong/dated.
