roll back single player save bak file

i am playing on valguero and my new high level imprinted argy just died to a couple of ice wyverns, i was wondering how i could roll back the save? i have looked at the save files and the last save was 3 days ago, can the NewLaunchBackup bak file be of any use? i researched you can rename the file Valguero_P.ark etc. but it changes the extension, will renaming the bak file corrupt the game or anything? can it even roll back at all?

make a copy of Valguero_P_AntiCorruptionBackup.bak

rename the file Valguero_P.ark

it will change the extension and take the place of your current save file..

If you do manage to get back your Argy, then I highly recommend getting Revive My Dino mod and feeding your tames their appropriate revival stones, so even if they do die, then you'd be able to get them back without having to rollback.

That said, I'm not sure when it comes to Valguero, as I haven't played there, but on Ragnarok ( where I do play ), there's a bunch of "Ragnarok_DATE_Some.numbers.here.ark", for example one being called "Ragnarok_14.05.2020_15.07.18.ark" as well as just "Ragnarok.ark".
What I've done is that I've looked at the "Date modified" and seen which one is the closest last save compared to the "Date modified" of the "Ragnarok.ark" file, after which it's a simple backing up of the "Ragnarok.ark", renaming it to something like "OldRagnarok.ark", then renaming the "Ragnarok_14.05.2020_15.07.18.ark" into "Ragnarok.ark" and launching the game.

Again, not sure if it's different on Valguero, but I would imagine it's the same thing. I hope you get your bird back.

И действительно способ с заменной "Ragnarok.ark" помог так как я играю на Fjordur заменил его на последнее сохранение, но проблема в том что часть прогресса утерянна
