But use a hatch or door to get in to the raft instead of a foundation.
Everything but Quetz brontos and Gigas can get on rafts.
For a build like yours I would recommend something similar to what a buddy of mine did. His raft (which he named the Stranger Danger) is a 5x5x4 with a dino gate. His bed, smithy/forge, and campfire/preserver are up on the second level in the back. He'll lure dinos in through the gate and tranq them there, then tame them in safety.
My old raft was a 3x5 and had everything a fully functional base needs. Smithy/forge, mortar, fridge, generator, industrial grill, fabricator, storage boxes, etc... but I had no way to get dinos up on it's roof to haul them around. If you play around with it a bit I'm sure you'll find a design to fit your needs.
opps srry i meant to say i managed to get 9 foundations or 3x3 on base raft :P
so 2x3 hut can fit in most of the stuff rite? so i should bascially add a 3x3 pen (5x3) and house mutiple dinos :) (or 2x3 pen since i only need a mule and a traveling dino and i can put birdy ontop)
can the 2x3 hut fit in a 1x1 room so u don't slip off the boat when it drifts during offline time?
That's my old raft I mentioned earlier. I was on a pve server so I wasn't too worried about thieves at the time.
I don't have a screenshot of my newer raft, but yes, I fit everything mentioned earlier inside the hut part without it being cramped. You can use wooden catwalks to fit multiple items in an area. I have my forge over my smithy, and the preserving bin over the campfire and mortar & pestle. You can even put beds on them without getting stuck while respawning.
The basic layout of my new raft is this: O's are the hut, X is the open area for ferrying dinos, the D is the doorframe and where the raft's tiller is, R is the ramp, and for gits and shiggles, S is the two lower species x plants.
