Summoning below-the-world pets back

In singleplayer, is there a way to get a pet back that has fallen under the world? I left one of my dogs halfway down the chitin cave, in the hope of getting something to spawn there, and he's not there anymore. Using a pet finder mod, he's shown as being in a certain location but can't see him anywhere.

Is there a summontameddino or whatever command? I've checked the wiki and can't see one, but you guys often know more about this stuff.

go into god mode then use ghost command, go through the world til you reach water, ghost at this time will be removed, find your dino and swim it towards a beach or something and you should be able to get back out, if not look up and use the teleport command, be sure to give your mount infinitestats command as you may teleport into the sky and may lose said pet. due to fall damage.

Another tip is to upload and copy your favorite dinos. That way you can always redownload it if it dies because of something like this. Just take your creature to an obelisk, save, copy your save file, upload your dino, quit, replace the save file with the copy you made, re-enter the game and now you will have a copy in game and a copy at the obelisk. I always do this with my favorite dinos. I hope it helps. :)

Update: I did the ghost thing and got him back! Thanks for the info guys.

Nicole, does the obelisk thing work on single player or on servers only? If it will work singleplayer, that'd be awesome. I forsee a big train of awesome dinosaurs later on, thanks for that :)
