Heating your new house
Hey There all,

I just built a small house in the snowy area. How do you warm the inside? Other than a campfire, I don't see a viable heat source.

Fireplace will also do you good, with a forge or two running and you should fine.

Standing and wall torches have the same insulation values as a campfire, and burn longer. They're better than a fireplace for long-term heating as fireplaces burn as fast as campfires. Just stick a stack of angler gel in a standing torch and you're good for a long while.

By far torches are the cheapest way to go. If it's placed under a open ceiling it will even heat up the next floor. Strangly enough, if there is no ceiling, just the outdoors, it won't rain through the open roof if a torch is placed in the center if the room.

A hundred thatch will burn for days.

You have natures heaters right near your new house. Kairikus, just tame up a bunch and put them in your house.

Dimetrodons also work, but they're a pain to tame.

Either way the torches will get you threw without freezing to death till you can use the creatures anyway still takes more time with the others
