Good to know, thanks
Fortitude. Campfires. Thatch. These will help you stay warm out there in the cold, cold north.
Or you could tame a Dimetrodon.
Went to read about the Dimetrodon. Taming one won't be the problem, getting one to the snowy area alive will be though -.-".
And plenty of food. You will need to eat to stay alive when cold. Fria Curry is helpful of course.

Right. I have a metal mining operation going on in the north east by the foot of the mountain, above the treeline. T-rexes tend to walk into my base from time to time but the wooden spikes kill them before I even can determine where all the screeching sounds are coming from.
I don't know how effective spikes are against giga's though. I will bring a whole lot of spike walls to ring around my base.
Can't wait to finally go explore the snowy biome. Thanks for all the advice people.
