ARK PC Server available for PS4 ?

I really hope you guys make the server crossover between PC/PS4, any information about this?

Wait a few more months, closer to release. My understanding is that PS4 does not have anything like a "pre-release" type of play on it.

Release is scheduled for June.

I know about the PS4 release date ;). But im asking if they are trying to sorting out the Private servers (with Mods) running in a PS4 client ( the PS4 as "client" need to download the MODs too)

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed you could not have PC / PS / XB players on the SAME server. I have no idea how hosting servers will work for other platform.

Well i really hope they DO it (server crossover), because PS4 are really expensives in my country to use them as a server instance...

well xbox servers need to be hosted on xbox since it's not allowed to host them on a pc via microsoft. the xbox version supports some mods but we will see if the ps4 will even be able to have any mod for ark.. very unlikely that sony will allow servers hosted on a pc

won't be possible due to frequent updates on pc (thanks to steam) and slow updates on console. the xbox version even has a total different version number. it isn't compatible. no crossplatform

For far as i know there are no plans in the near future to enable crosplatform gaming (even not for the xbox at the moment) so al depends on what wil be decided after the game is released and all bugs are solved. Maybe later on but no plans for the moment.

But I doubt it will be possible. The XBOX one and the PC versions are different enough that they can't do it.

The problem is not the difference... they all share the same tecnology... the problem are the console politics :(. For example now you can Rent BF4 server on PS4. But only though DICE...

nah the problem here is the frequency of updates and the limitation of consoles. The console versions get less in an update and one update per month while pc players get nearly 1 big update every 1-2 weeks. this would cause an inconsistency of patches between pc and console nearly every week.. you can't make both versions compatible to each other. just look at this:

the console version is curretly at pc version 234. there are 2 big patches already missing..

Cross-Platform has not arrived! Yes you can now host dedicated Servers on Nitrado for PC, PS4 and next month Xbox however if you have a PS4 Server PC and Xbox players can't join you and vice versa. There will never be cross-platform play for this game and others as neither Microsoft or Sony will allow it.
