Who is the better wood guy? Im in favor of the beaver

It's beaver. Collect 44 wood from a small tree at melee damage 180%+. However my Mammoth get 24 wood at 280%+.

A beaver has 300 weight at lvl 1, but the weight of wood is 80% reduced for the beaver (a full stack weighs 10 in it's inventory, as opposed to 50 normally). That means a lvl 1 beaver has an effective weight of 1500 when carrying wood. WAY higher than a mammoth.

depends on ur options. duo is best with mammoth and good carry quetz, solo wood gather beaver is best

beaver can be a mobile smithy - mamoth cant
can swim faster then mamoth
build dam walls and agressive when dinos come by it
beavers can collect while on wander - again mamoth cant
etc etc etc

Yup my favorite part of beavers, but where do you find beavers?

Beavers collect wandering - that is one more to it .
I found some at south, Rock Isle, in the rivers coming from land forming a small isle. take a good look they tend to dive a lot.
