Why Microraptor?

I really don't think it's a good idea to add in Microraptor. It's gonna live in trees, and when you are going around chopping wood, it's gonna interupt you and attack you, like the Dragonflies with Corposes. I'm already annoyed by those little bugs. But Microraptor is gonna make it worse with Wood.

(Unless Jat makes Microraptor be totally different than what I say.)

I personally HATE the dragonflies.. they swarm you and becasue of the way dinos work you rubberband back into the center of the swarm.. it might not be a good idea to have another thing like that.

Well Raptor King, you do raise a valid concern, but from what I've read the Microraptor won't be living in the trees...

It will, after reading the dossiers again, most likely be ground dwelling but - if you believe the fluff - will make jumping/gliding attacks on humans, especially if not alone. My guess is it will act sort of like a winged Compy - receiving some sort of bonus in groups and attacking larger targets. Personally I tend to have at least a dilo (preferably a raptor, saber or wolf if I have one) with me as protection when gathering. I've seldom ran into bugs chopping wood, had more issues with compys than bugs, but a decent dilo is capable of dealing with a pack of them.

I don't know how you do your daily gathering, but I suggest getting into the habit of taking an escort with you.

If you're talking about Archaeopteryx (which is depicted flying through trees in the dossier, unlike the Microraptor), apparently it will run/fly away from humans and its temperament is 'Fearful' so I doubt it will aggro you.

crouch down and chop the air; dragon flys can't hurt you and you will kill them... pile/spear works best.
