Irrigation Without Piping?
Is there any way to water crops without an irrigation system?

You can use any sort of bottle/skin etc.
Just "Remote Use" while it's in the inventory.

Remote use a water jar, water skin or canteen. Or hope that rain would be enough
But irrigation is cheap as hell. Not sure why you wouldn't do it

Rain will do the job ALWAYS as long As there is no roof on top!

Depending on the location on the map (I'm on the West side) It will rain enough to keep the plants up. This I use on my Xplants all over my building.

Use large crop plots on the normal map and you only need to full them up 1 time or wait for the rain to do so. And they will stay filled with just the rain if out side. Other wise waterskins will fill them as they leak out and remote using water jars or canteens can be used to fill them

If on the Valhalla mod map then you need to irrigate using pipes or fill the other ways as it rains much less on that map.

It really only takes 1, MAYBE 2 water reservoirs to keep a LOT of crops that are indoors alive. Crops go through water very slowly. I find it really funny when people try to build super long piping to water their crops when they are out doors anyway, or when a single water reservoir can provide more than enough stored rain water.

Rain will keep all crop plot sizes full if they are out doors, not just large.

Engram points. Just don't quite have enough for the whole set.

Pretty sure it rains equally everywhere I believe. Even the snow biome gets snow when it's raining everywhere else.

The pipes do have blueprints that drop in beacons, so you can probably get them. But as noted above, rain will do the job if you 'prime the pump' with a waterskin first.

Only need to prime the pump as you say when trying to connect a water tank to a industrial cooker. You don't need to do that when putting a tap on the pipe over crop plots you just need to put water in the tank or wait for the tank to fill up with rain.

And op isn't asking about industrial cookers
I wasn't talking about industrial cookers or putting a tap, I was talking about using a crop plot without irrigation, getting by on rain (hence the mention of rain). You generally need to make sure that the crop plot has a lot of water in it to start, and then the rain maintains it. You can't count on the rain to fill it up in the first place, unless you leave it out for a while before you start planting.
