Melee Damage on Dino's Used For Resource Gathering
If I increase the melee damage on my Mammoth does that inturn increase the amount of resources it collects each swing, as I am not sure if I should just pump every point into weight

Yes it's does. And if you add melee to get resources faster you may wish to lvl weight so you are not over burdened fast.

Are there any cap on when its useless to put more points into a stat?
Heard someone said 600% in melee on a mammoth and then no more.

who cares about overburden when ur being carried by a quetzal?

I haven't noticed one. As every time I up the melee on my doe ank and mam they get more stuff from what they farm. As far as I have see. It keeps going up. Just it isn't a super amount each time. But you will still notice a increase. And please note that not ever tree or rock gives the exact same amount they have a small random give amount. But you will see say trees give 80-100 wood and if you raise melee a little it will be 90-110. These aren't the correct numbers but you should get the idea

People who don't have quetzs or you know people solo farming. Or you know when you over burdened that quetz?

well if quetz overburdened then it cant carry ur mammoth home so quetz weight is the be all end all of endgame farming. as for if u have no quetz if u getting wood or anything else heavy u likely have a use so more material for less time will always win out

End all be all of farming is high melee to get the most out of what you farm. Quetz weight just helps you get that stuff back to base if you are not crafting as you go.

And if you have no quetz. Then having a higher carry weight on a dino really really helps getting resources back to base to use and helps you make less trips.

Do stuff solo see if you like having to keep moving stuff from resource farmer to quetz and back a ton when you have a low weight farmer.

So point is melee and weight on a farming animal is useful. Just up to the player to see what they like more. And what works best for them.

well using quetz can be solo to high melee and just transfer items i get ur point but if im taming a good 120 kibble tamed gatherer ill look towards the endgame

If you overburdened quetz that was carrying mammoth then you or your friend can stand on mammoth and take some weight from mammoth inventory. Quetz won't see your weight.
And if you don't have quetz or farm solo then you can tame few medium lvl mammoth and pump theirs weight and set to follow your farming mammoth. When you fill up first mammoth then move some stuff to others mammoths.
