ok I have read , and Where exactly I install the setup?? In the TC Admin of the server? in the mdos folder ?? I need some helps. its kind of complicated.

I believe I am missing something basic since I read this thread and I do not see an answer to my problem.

I run a home based server for my family and use ASM. Following the directions I updated the settings with the appropriate paths. Problem is that when I run AMU it updates the mods in the actual ARK folder, but not the mods in the Server mod folder so I still have to do a manual copy/paste.

Hope you can help me with this!

The updater does not seem to have the ability to download/update Ark Advance. I've checked the mod number a couple times and it's correct. The log show 0 files installed. All the other mods in my config download fine. Any ideas? I've just resorted to copying the mod over from my PC until this can be resolved.

Put a paste bin or your log file in here to look at. Also what the mod # is. Sounds wierd.

It's not CV. His mods work fine. Ummmm. Try deleting all your Mods from the server folder (everything in it), and from the STEAMCMD (x:\ArkServer_TheCenter\SteamCMD\steamapps\workshop\content\346110) delete the 346110 fodler.

Then run the Auto Mod Update and let it copy everything. I never manually copy mods in or it might cause issues.

Quick question: some mods end up bugging out without a fresh wipe and clean install. Does this tool just paste and replace the new files for mods or does it completely remove it and put in the new files?

If not would it be possible to set that as an option? Iv run into several mods where a clean install of a mod fixes alot of problems

My server is running a bunch of mods and I'm trying to set this up, I've done everything you guys have stated, but it still won't update the mods. It removes them, but won't update.

check your path in settings for case sensitive.
did not fix that issue because im writing a complete new updater.

Hello, help would be greatly appreciated as i dont really know how it all works but every time i open the mod updater i get :

Please check the ARK_SRV_PATH Var

well all you need to do is read the error :D go to your config file and set the server path to your ark server directory

but this what i dont understand, i have a steamcmd file with all my server data in there (whole file is 21 gb) and i have another complete different file called ark server that has the ark server manager stuff including the profile for my server in there (whole file is 58mb) so im kind of lost sorry D:

you downloaded the Auto Mod Updater, correct?
open the folder of the updater, open the settings.ini file and change this line:
ARK_SRV_PATH=

all you need to do is writing the location of your arkserver folder. if it is at D:\Servers\ARK for example (so in this /Ark folder would be the engine, shootergame, steamapps and so on) you need to use this line
ARK_SRV_PATH=D:\Servers\ARK
