Try south spawn points.
But if you happen to die in that area, and you've got nice gear, maybe even a tamed animal out there in the frozen, you might be happy that spawn is there. (and you don't have any personal spawns nearby)
Once your fortitude is up, you could survive long enough to spawn, run towhere you died, and grab your stuff which would most likely have food, water and warm cloths on your dead body. And hey, if you don't make it there, at least you tried and didn't lose anything from the respawn.
May as well make spawning a mile in the air an option because it's 100% chance of death.
Someone dies ect......... Their base is on other side of the map..... No bed near......
- Might have hut/base nearby
- Might have friends nearby
Before snow Biome? Most time it brings you south of the water fall sometimes it puts you right in the snow tundra area.
Maybe I just got lucky. Of course, I died quite a bit at a lot of other spawn points before it finally "took". I'm not sure when the snow Biome was established...
