Again, just wondering when the devs plan to bring it to PC. My son doesn't mind playing with controller.
Awesome news. Would definitely get this game when they add splitscreen in the PC version.
Still surprised people here are all like "how can you play splitscreen on PC? 2 keyboard and mouse, it doesnt work."
Let me help you understand what I went through to get the best couch PC gaming:
- Get a xbox one or 360 wireless adapter
- Buy 2 to 4 xbox one or 360 controller
- Connect HDMI to your TV
- Have a friend or family member to play local multiplayer
Is that so hard to set up couch gaming on PC?
For those who have aspergers and need to be explained how split screen on pc works: First, you take an hdmi cable. Then, you hook it up to a TV. Finally, you connect 2 controllers to your PC. Works exactly like a console.
What's so surprising? if the xbone can do it, why not a pc? Currently, and to my knowledge, the xbox version is better optimized than the pc version. If the devs optimize the pc version, a pc, say with a gtx 970, should have no problem running two instances of the game at the same time. Remember, the xbox is doing it.
I personally think it would be a great feature.
Hey!
What games are you using this for?
I played borderlands 2 on pc using software called softxpand. It basically created two virtual workstations using one computer. One person to each screen, keyboard, and mouse. It was great! However, to my knowledge, the software does not support windows 10, which I am now using.
How many games have you used this for? I wouldn't mind playing some games with my bro.
I'm not sure what local split screen has to do with servers. The idea would be to play locally, or without using a server, with another friend. Also, the xbox is doing it.
I'll agree that it's a stupid idea for pvp, but what about pve? Split screen sounds like great idea.
Honestly, most people don't even have desktops that can run Ark well. Who has money to buy 2-5 gaming machines, let alone laptops? Steam share doesn't let multiple people play the same game, on the same account, and at the same time. smh...
Go to Steam store page> Games > Narrow by players *check Local Coop*. You'll find all the games that can be played locally either through splitscreen or same screen.
