The thing is I see like 11 people in the server I play on regularly. If this was a server side issue those people would not be able to join.
- Reupload.
Announcement: All servers should refresh new wild dino spawns by executing this console command "cheat destroywilddinos". This will ensure that new leeches will spawn with leechblood.
If a server runs with 11 clients connected and a "MOD" update is released then steam updates all those clients that arent playing/connected. but those 11 connected clients have an update pending. The moment they fully close down the game. Their steam will update too and when they start up the game, they will find themselves unable to join due to a mod mismatch
If the server update that particular mod again it will be fine.
NOTE:
There are rare cases that a client has problems with a mod, in this case, unsubscribe from all mods and connect to the server again. it will refresh the list of mods that the server is subscribed too and redownloads them all.
NOTE2:
Any mod related messages has "nothing" to do with battleeye, Battleeye is the same principle like warden is for blizzard games.
- In steam, click View > Server
- Click on the tab "Favorites"
- You will see your server listed there probably (if not, then under my survivors)
- If you get a message upon joining that there is a mod mismatch then you might want to contact the admin to check their mods.
For example ORP, had has 3 updates in the last 16 hours. every update means a server had to shutdown + update it's mods. This is not wildcard/server owners fault but a mod maker that simply releases a new version or bug fixes.
To check your subscribed mods, or unsubscribe,
- click library (in steam)
- click ARK
- Scroll down a bit and click on the workshop
- Browse > click on it and select "Subscribed Items"
- In the right, select "Date updated" and unsubscribe from the mods that were updated last (or remove all in case of problems)
- Connect to the server again and it will redownload the mods.
NOTE:
This will NOT fix a mod mismatch if there was a new release and the server owner havent updated his server yet. Since what the server does it telling you which modID it has installed. and your client downloads the latest version from steam. there is no mod being download from the server you're connecting too.
As an adjunct to this old thread (in case someone else reads it). I saw mods and Battleye (BE) in the same sentence.
Most "modded" unofficial servers don't use BE. Mods aren't available on official - that does use BE. Totally unrelated.
