It doesn't matter one little bit if I can tame them with mejos. I can tame EVERY dino with meat or mejos.

It exactly matters. Gallimimus aren't gigas, where if you don't have kibble it's going to take you 50 hours to tame. A level 1 gallimimus only takes 45 minutes on berries. If all you need them for are eggs, then it really doesn't matter what you tame them with. Tame with pocket lint, their level doesn't impact how you make kibble in any way shape or form. You're basically complaining about something that is meainingless. Go tame 3 or 4 low level females with berries and get your eggs to tame a terror bird, done.

A giga is not difficult to tame at low levels either. A level 4 takes just under an hour and a half on prime meat. For a world eating dino that still wrecks at level 4.

Don't forget that after you narc a Giga, you can leave for about 40 minutes or so. A Gallimimus? Yeah torpor on a level 4 drops in under 2 minutes and it takes under 2 minutes for it to refill.
This means you better have a tribemate free or have taken your potty breaks before you started this 40 minutes worthless tame, because you're not leaving your seat.

Is that so? Because last time I tamed a low level one it started at about 25% melee. Do you know what 25% of 1,200 base damage is? Yup, that's right it's 300. AKA 500% melee on a Rex. Tell me, how much HP does your 500% melee damage rex have? Is it 30K? I doubt it. Did it take you an hour and a half to tame? Nope.

So it's a 120 rex with 2x the HP for 1/3 the taming time.

You only need to tame 2, a male and a female. After that you can breed some extra females for eggs.

They are super time consuming tames tho... They ahve a 30 second torpor timer. I'm not gonna sit on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ egg dino for 45 minutes straight. That's ridiculous. Not as bad for old dinos like stegos or something to berry tame, just set a timer for every 40 minutes and go back and refill them on narcos.

So it's a 120 rex with 2x the HP for 1/3 the taming time.

You speak the truth, lvl 247 rex has 20k hp, which i would argue is better than giga due to no enrage, but only 350 melee so :/

Even though it's still twisted to have these new dino's all require eggs from the previously released dino. A more branched out method would be more logical instead of this linear model of kibble requirement.

To me it feels like "We take the newest eggs, so that people don't have a bunch of them, so they can't tame the newest dino instantly, so they have to play moar!" It's cheap.

Or maybe these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tames are tiers too unlock other dinos just like the rest of the egg tree
