This was however FULLY debunked by the end of august.
It only APPEARS to go down faster without actually draining any faster.
Stimberries have in fact NEVER helped with the hunger. Only wakes them up faster.
Here's what happens. Stim berries lower the torpor, which allows the feeding of more narco, Eating narco causes hunger to drop a little.
So yes technically it WILL speed up a tame HOWEVER it is obscenely resource intensive as it will require 4-5 time (if not more) the amount of narco you would normally use Plus a large amount of Stim. (Don't use berries for either because you'll just waste a lot of time and potentially waste your taming bonus on eating berries)
Functionally you can speed it up but it won't actually be sped up all that much and the resource requirement for a negligible gain is prohibitive. So you can tell him he's sort of right but it's also a wasteful and kinda dumb approach well tested before he even thought of it.
You are correct, it's always worked like this. The stim junkies were half correct.
Anyway, this is not correct. On tamed dinos it makes hunger go down fast, but I'm 99% sure it doesn't work on wild dinos. It just makes them wake up faster, which makes you waste narco you could've used for something else.
NEVER has this worked.
Devs stated right from the start that this does NOT work.
The hunger is done via timer per tick.
You think it gets hungrier faster when feeding it berries BUT it actually isn't. The reason it looks faster is that if you watch the hunger in the first place it drops say 0.3 at a time for example... It does this at 0.3 per second... when feeding it berries it drops by 0.1 a time but does this at 0.33 seconds. So you see the refresh rate speed up of its hunger but it still takes 1 second per 0.3.
This has been discussed 1000's of times
No, forcefeeding does NOT make the TE go down, only bites the dino takes. I've dropped many dinos that were extremely low HP, threw raw meat on them and forced them to get HP higher... They came out perfect tames as well.
It made no difference to the time.
Its hunger is done per tick.
