Tough time getting server admin commands to work.

Hi all,

I am renting a dedicated PC with Ark running on it (obviously.)

Today was the first time that someone complained about losing items through the world and asked if I could reimburse them. Being the nice guy that I am I decided to go ahead and try it.

I logged into ARKON

tried entering the following with many different variations as an example.

giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 1

giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 1 false

giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 1 0

after trying over and over, I get different server error replies



After a bit of troubleshooting, I found the following

By entering giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 <enter> I get message 'GiveItemNumToPlayer': Bad or missing property 'masterIndexNum'

Adding a little more giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 <enter> I get message 'GiveItemNumToPlayer': Bad or missing property 'quantityOverride'

Looking good. I go ahead and enter the same but this time adding the quantity giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 <enter> I get message 'GiveItemNumToPlayer': Bad or missing property 'qualityOverride'

Ok, I'm on to something here. Next attempt giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 1 <enter> I get message 'GiveItemNumToPlayer': Bad or missing property 'bForceBlueprint'

Sweet, I'm starting to get my hopes up that the next command will actually give the player the item. giveitemnumtoplayer 76561197964897308 1 1 1 0 <enter> 'GiveItemNumToPlayer': Bad or missing property 'bForceBlueprint'

I tried changing the last command up a little by adding false/1/0 but still nothing.

Any ideas?

You need to use 'admincheat' before that I think .You may also have to use a password first, but I'm not sure.

I believe admincheat is from within game. I'm actually using ARKON which logs me in as admin.

Make sure you do " EnableCheats <Password> " when you log in.

Then after that try the commands, as Charlice said you'll need to prefix the commands with "admincheat" (on mine it was just "cheat")

ya even if you are the server owner you still need to put "cheat" (if you are the server owner) or "admincheat" (if not). Additionally you can use the command "showmyadminmanager" and just whitelist yourself and you should be able to just do the "enablecheats 'password'" and then you should be able to access every command with just "cheat".

Using Cheat/Admincheat I get Server received command but the command had no response.

if you have the item # then use
giveitemnum 117 0 0 false
example:
37= a Torch; so enter --> giveitemnum 37 0 FALSE

no other Adim script is needed to do this.

That command is to give to yourself isnt it? How about giving to another players steam id?

What the admin on the server I'm on did is, spawn the item then drop it for me to pick up.

try this
AdminCheat GiveResources Gives you 50 of all resources
AdminCheat InfiniteStats Infinite Hunger, Stamina, Ammo, etc..
or
AdminCheat Summon Summons a dino at your location.
AdminCheat GiveItemNum Gives you an item.

or a blue print:
giveitem "'xxxaaa"' 1 0 0 false
