Cross play? Xbox/pc
I'm hoping my brother and I can play this together, he has an xbox1 and I use steam, will it work? :)

Anyone know what I'd have to do?

I mostly remember that you can't use mods and you need to have Cross play on. Don't know if you need anything more then that.

Asked and answered for many years now: no.

Unlike Ark Ascended these are the conditions with Ark Survival Evolved in these regards.

Steam= Can only play with Epic store folks however servers have to be -crossplay setting enabled, has to be a dedicated server and no mods can be used(because epic doesnt have access to steam workshop mods for Ark.

Xbox= Can only play with Microsoft store Win10UWP(universal windows platform) purchased pc versions of the game. They are not allowed to play with Steam.

Playstation= Restricted to playstation only folks.

So cross platform playing between you(on steam) and your brother(on xbox) isnt allowed. Sorry.
