Why are wyvern eggs not spawning

I have spend an hour looking for wyvern eggs but they just dont spawn does anyone know why

What map are you on and what mods are you running, also is this a server or your single player. Many factors can affect how wyverns and their eggs spawn but we need more info.

I am on scorched earth and non dedicated session and no mods

Tried a wild wipe to reset wyvern spawn?

Maybe look under the map to see if spoiled eggs have fallen through.

Non dedicated probably do it. Things don't spawn unless you are near them. Even then for eggs the spawn time isn't quick.

Create your own dedicated server if you can. SP is a bit of a PITA

you may need to spend a while in the wyvern trench, when a wyvern spawns there is a chance for it to spawn a nest and egg if there is a nearby empty nest location. If you are seeing a lot of empty nests you may have to use cheat destroymytarget to free up that slot for a new nest and egg to be able to spawn there. Also, single player ARK physics are different and less stable than servers and eggs may be spawning in locations away from their nest (dont know why, just is... so many supply drops inside the terrain...) Going to require patience and a touch of luck, or some cheating as you can "force" eggs to spawn by summoning wyverns via commands as well.

Can i just afk for them to spawn?

Look up how to disable hibernation.
It will help with the spawns but it does use extra resources on your pc

Have you hunted for eggs before? If you did, have you thrown the egg instead of eating it because of reasons? if you did, than the game might still count the nest as occupied.

If there are spoiled eggs taking up nest slots, you can also use the console command to destroy them all

cheat destroyall DroppedItemGeneric_FertilizedEgg_NoPhysicsWyvern_C

No i have not hunted eggs before and there is no spoiled eggs because i cant find any eggs or nest
