Is ascending even worth it?

So If you go trough the tek cave and ascend you gain some aditional levels, but the way I read it on the Wiki you also lose all of your gear and all the dino's you brought with you into the cave? I'm gonna need good dino's and good gear to clear the cave but if it's all gonna be gone afterwards what's the point of ascending at all?

No? In my other post I simply ask what happens when you ascend. Now that I know that I wonder what opinions people have on the value of ascending. Different matter entirely.

lol what? the topics are both about ascending, the point of it, and whether you should do it or not. thats the exact same matter just phrased differently, no need to create a whole other topic for it.

you don't lose your gear or your dinos, that is completely wrong. your dinos will appear at the entrance of the TEK cave when you return there. as for your items, if you're not on a cluster server they will be lost, however, the workaround to this is just transferring all of your items from your character to your dino right before the cutscene starts.

learn how to create topics man, this shouldnt have been a second post point made and finished, no need to argue about it, its just a fact. if you keep up this kind of behavior and create different posts for related topics the forums will flood. now instead of arguing about how different the topic is keep it in mind for the next time you are planning on doing something as dumb as this.

Hmm, The Wiki says this: ''Upon Ascending, you will have to select your character and respawn as if you had disconnected while traveling across servers. This also means that items will be kept, but the Element will be lost and ALL the Tek Gear will be discharged. Creature inventories share the same behavior.'' - This sounds like dino's also lose all tek gear brought into the cave. You sure this is not the case?

okay dutchie. whatever you say... and just because there are over 250.000 posts doesnt mean you get to make 20 posts about the same thing. flooding happens when there are too many topics made on a daily basis, which you are doing right here, right now. competent gamers look up their stuff on the internet, entitled little snowflakes like you need us to hold the spoon for you and feed you the information, and even when you ask for information you feel the need to ask them in separate topics. i really do hope for you and your future that you learn to be a bit more independent

Wow.... Listen friend. Maby you can try to stay decent with people. I clicked on you name and on ''show messages'' and it seems you just go from post to post aguing with anyone you can find. You're insulting people and you seem to just not be a very nice person. Take a scroll trough your past messages and ask yourself is arguing with so many people is really worth it.

You're reading it wrong. You lose all element but not any Tek gear, just the element itself.
Also afaik element on dinos wont go away.
You shouldn't really be losing anything unless it's something that died. There's no reason not to ascend unless you think you aren't strong enough yet.

The TLDR...

Your dinos teleport out.
You and your tribe teleport out including all your equipment.

The only thing that you lose is ELEMENT and element charge.
You do not lose Tek items... Only the charge those items had as they are powered by element.


I've only recently done the cave a few times in a row. Got everything back afterwards without any issues.
