How do I activate events?

I put in the little thing in launch options and it doesn't seem to be working. Help?

Most of the events were removed from the game completely a number of months ago.

If you are after an item that was available during an event - most of them can be simply spawned in. For instance my girl likes to wear the giga-poop swimwear and sunglasses so when I start a new map with a girl she will spawn in the clothes she wants. Chibis can be spawned in too. Don't really need to start the event in this case.

That being said if you look up the event in the wiki most of em have the parameters on how to start the event from the launch options. Perhaps double check what you may of typed in - perhaps it is slightly different. For instance the summer bash event can be started with '-activeevent=Summer' whereas I first tried '-activeevent=SummerBash'. Its literally the second line on the page about the event. ( it is for summer bash anyway ).

Well yeah on official servers I suppose it would be. But you are attempting to put the events in the load options. If the online server is not running the event it wont happen.

Solo it will happen.

In my case with clothes and a chibi of choice I don't feel I have cheated. Depends on what your trying to spawn in I suppose. If that's what you're actually trying to do. I recently ( about a week or so ago ) started the summer bash event in my solo play through. It worked fine. Until I decided I did not like the rainbow colored dinos. So now I just spawn in the simple items that I need. In my case it does not impact progression.
