Do not use SurvivalServers.com
I've been using a new host the past 3 months and it's been noting but problems.
Nitrado is 1 dollar more and runs a lot better.

Problems with Survival Servers
#1: Website control panel freezes constantly, causing restart commands to not work half the time.
#2: Server lags severely, and restarts take about an hour and a half.
#3: Staff won't inform you of updates to the server and they take 6+ hours. One update took two full days because they broke the server.
#4: Fixes and box moves can take 48 hours
#5: Server has been down for at least a month due to problems, and it's only been in services for 3 months.
#6: The staff member Peter, seems to know nothing about hosting ark. He's been wrong about every fix (7 separate tickets). After being shown he was wrong, he's been deleting a map on the server every few days.
#7: When they migrate your server, they remove all of your configs, whitelist files, and will keep one map, sometimes even meshing it with someone elses server.

Their service is just horrible. Their console barely works or freezes your system. They don't know how to properly migrate a server. It lags terribly and consistently. When it comes to troubleshooting anything, you have to do it yourself, as every solution provided has been wrong.

If you guys have a list of other hosts let me know. Nitrado has moved and migrated all of my files correctly. Their website doesn't freeze. The server is running beautifully. Restarts only take 9 minutes, as opposed to an hour and a half (survival took 3 hours 4 times, due to failed starts). The cost is damn identical. (I've been running Ark servers from home, for the past 5 years, this is my first experience with an external host.)

I can second they have gone downhill since 2016. Their machines/VM can not seem to keep up with how the Ark community runs their servers now a days. First issue when ordering from them this past month, again mind you because I hosted from them in 2016, was they didn't give us enough "space" to update Ark and mods.So my server got stuck in a boot loop for 24 hours. Second like you the server lag was really bad with only one person on it. Can you you imagine how it was with the six I had playing? So they moved us "to another server". (Yea ok) It did clear up some of the lag. Lag is really bad in engrams list. Mind you I have never had this issue hosting that on my own box. So I know it isn't an "Ark" issue like back in the day.

Their user control interface really needs to be updated. Its still set to 2015 when Ark first started. If you are new to Ark server managing and new to managing remote stuff you would be really confused. Luckily I steered clear of using their control interface and used the FTP. Unfortunately you have to use it to do restarts/starts/stop and Steam updates.

I only went with them again because of the sale they were having and second because back in 2016 when I hosted with them I had no issues with the server. Ran smooth as butter.

PingPerfect arent terrible. I've had better customer service but I've had worse too. Ping and such seemed well within normal tolerance. Interface a bit odd but only for specific tasks. Everything else fine. Not tested with more than a few people though.

Anything you put or configure outside their website gets deleted now, when they move your server. Their excuse is that they only copy over website configs. So I would have 3 hours of just restarting with proper configs. Have they always had an hour and a half restarts? That's extremely excessive. My personal box for the past 5 years has only taken a max of 30 minutes. With 44 mods, and 12+ people's builds tamed Dino's etc. Honestly for the same darn price nitrado has been amazing in comparison. Moving a server, they copy exactly what you have, no deletions, no lag, 9 min boot with 44 mods. Peter Quadro at survival servers is the most incompetent support staff. He has no idea how to fix the simplest of issues. I'm forcing a refund on the last two months due to the issues with that horrid service.

I'll add them to the list to check out as well. Thank you.

You aren't the only one that has had issues like that with them. If you read their forums. You can't use their GUI and also edit the config outside etc. Their GUI will always take over soon as you do an edit. I learned that the hard way in 2016. He messed up and didn't want to confess to it. When I moved servers everything was moved. I also dealt with him and told him to just close the ticket when dealing with the lag I was still seeing.

They SS control panel for sure isn't ASM. If every hosting company went with some sort of input like that, would be so much easier. Every server hosting site has their issues, some more then others.

I've always saved backups of files off site so I never run into an issue like you had with files being deleted. Hope you have luck with the new provider.

After the first problem with them, I too, stared making numerous backups on my personal pc. To fix that mistake. Really wish I had known before I started their service.

So the move was his mistake then.

Thank you for the information, I didn't think of checking their forum. I really should of checked more sources before I started the service. First time using third party host for ARK, my mistake.

Ark.io is really good and easy to use, pretty fricking cheap too.
