What is the point of the dodorex?

I mean I dont understand why it is so insanely strong? What is the point of adding this thing? You could go at with 15 gigas at once and you will still be destroyed. Its not a chalange its just a game over that randomly wanders around and hands out GET REKT cards to anyone in its way. Then you give it to whatever tribe has the most people by letting people summon it for X amount of Y. X=realy high number Y=obligitory holiday symbol. Only the largest of tribes are ever able to collect X amount of Y within the span of the event.

Do I not get the point or am i right in thinking that mabey, just mabey it shouldnt be this strong?

I get the feeling that the Dodorex was maded simply so they dont need to make new event boss dinos for every single holiday, every holiday it's "collect these holiday items to summon the "X"dodorex" Instead would be better to have a unique boss each holiday.

I do see what someone was saying, it exists for a short time, it can allow a weaker tribe to confront an overpowered alpha tribe, but also, those alpha tribes are much more likely to obtain the items way quicker.

each dino is not for everyone, giga is not for me.... hense why I said, for me, facing a Giga is a big No-No..... no dino in game can kill one....

First of all I am not crying, you just cant be crying player in moment when you are doing everything to prevent some broken mechanism of game. You are crying if you are guy in stone building who is lazy make it from metal and say that Giga is too strong.

Second, as I wrote in one topic, you have mostly two types of Alpha tribes.

1st quite often version, nice Alphas which mostly help players and keeping peace and some basic rules on server (like no raids without reason, no noob killing etc). This type of Alphas is forced by this event and Dodorex in them to kill every bigger tribe which could be threath.

2nd Alpha which killing every bigger tribe in server. This Alphas will never allow anyone to get enough resources to get Dodorex and more likelly will farm stuff on it and use it to COMPLETELY destroy some base or bases of others tribe on server. There is that big difference between raid (destroy some doors and kill some dinos) and complete wipe (just eat for fun whole base).

So I am not crying, I am pointing on broken mechanism in game which is in moment when Alphas realize how it work and how it could be dangerous for them make from game on every server slaughtery.

And last thing, you are on PvE server so you have no idea what you are talking about lol, but you read forum? I read forum too and tbh I can very hardly see here some topics that Alpha tribes harassing others.

I claim Giganotosaurus is a broken mechanism that can be used by alpha tribes at ANY MOMENT in the game.

While Dodorex can only be used once for 15 minutes, unless they collected 1200 eggs, which I highly doubt.

You say 15 Gigas can't kill Dodorex, therefor its broken.

I say 15 Rexes can't kill one Giga, therefore I think Giga is broken.

Which one is more broken? A dino that you can encounter in game at any moment, player controlled or wild, or a dino that can only be summoned after A LOT of hard work during an event for 15 minutes?



oh and P.S....
claiming that I know nothing about this coz I play PVE is just lame ;) We have all the same dinos, only less stress coz we don't need to worry about being raided every night... We still have threats from wild dinos being kited, though...

and not making my base metal is not me being lazy, it's me beign realistic, coz I don't have enough time to invest to make my entire base into metal, and I was not complaining, I don't live near the Gigas... simply telling you the truth, the Giga is in game all the time, OP as hell and you are complaining about a 15 minute dino....

Most important point (againt) is fact, that against Giga is here defense, against Dodorex not. Simple as that. That is reason why is Dodorex broken and should not be ingame.

btw 15 Raptors cant kill Trex... it is broken by your logic, and 15 dodos cant kill raptor, so it is broken too...

Oh man... where does matter if Dodorex dispensary or not? :D In that 20 minutes you will DESTROY (not raid) whole metal base, months of someones work. You will hardly wipe months of someones work with Giga, because if someone work on his base for months, he is not in stone...

I have played since the game came out.... But only have almsot 900 hours played coz I do have things to do outside of ARK... And my house is in stone. Because my house is big, and I do not have enough time to gather enough to make it all into metal.

And again, I don't care. I don't live close to gigas.

My POINT IS STILL that Giganotosaurus is a CONSTANT harrassment, wild AND tamed, but dodorex is only here a short time. Not forever.
Also, you make it sound like it is tamed once you spawn it in. I thought it was wild, otherwise they need to make it wild. So if you spawn it by your house, bye bye ^^

it takes an hour to get 1 easter egg or 10 if your an alpha, wit that they wouldnt even have time to get it, its not op because its practically impossible to get before the event ends and even if it did, they only have time to destroy 1 major base then poof gone foreve and not to be seen untill some holiday. it may seem easier to you to raid a base with a dodorex then normally raiding it but the dodrex cost something more then a few dodos and a bunch of c4 with 3 gigas, it cost time tons of it, 100+ hours atleast get it for 15 minutes then they cant get it again. more then likely mostly no one playing ark will get it unless they spawn the stuff in with admin commands or farm for 6 days straight and are really really lucky.

With Dodos with C4 and bunch of Gigas you will not raid any decent metal base man... This event is also broken, so get Dodorex is thanks god almost impossible, during christmas one we get two...

Tbh, I checked your screenshots, you are playing on personal server where you are spawning endgame bosses, so why you controbute into topic about you just cant have enough ingormation? Same like this PvE guy "It never happen to me, it never could happen to me, but I know how it is!".

I was attacked by Dodorex, Dodorex attacked also my base, can you guys say same? Dont think so...

To know what the point of the dodorex is you must understand the point of the ark it's self. I am not sure if the have offically said anything about this or not so keep that in mind. The back story for the ark is that it was made to pit dangrous creatures against each other for the amusment of it's creators. Nothing in ark is really made to be fair it is made for a purpose of enteratining the sadistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that made it. @WC_Jat I am looking at you. Kappa
