Unofficial server not showing up on Steam list

The unofficial server that some friends of mine and I run seems to have trouble showing up on Steam's list of unofficial servers, even when people search for it by name. Several people have told me they couldn't find it.

What we've had to do in the past is make sure someone who's already on the server is friends with whoever can't find it. They can then change Steam's search parameters to "friends" and the server shows up just fine. We'd like the server to show up for everyone, not just people who have a Steam friend who's actively playing on our server.

I'm curious if anyone has experienced this problem with their own unofficial server and, if so, how they fixed it. Here's some basic server info, in case that helps.

IP: 85.190.156.232:23000
Host: Nitrado

Well I have similar issue. My own non-official server is showing up both on Steam and Ark but when I try to connect to it, it say's that the host version of the game is wrong. Can play solo and connect to offficial server btw. Verygames server I use.

if the server is searchable (even if you need to search in the "Friends" tab, it is online and you can't do anything different. The ingame serverbrowser doesn't show every single server. It shows a few hundred at most. there are over 10000 servers online as you can see here: Arkservers.net

register your server there, create a steamgroup, make some advertisements and let them add your server via ip on the steam server browser (http://thaigameguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Steam-Server-Browser-03.jpg ). they can easily find it there via "Favorites" now and it's even shown ingame under "Favorites".

if the game version is wrong a mod or the server needs an update... update it correctly in this case

My server as been updated correctly and I have same issue.

Desertworld, if you're still paying attention here, I just signed up over on Arkservers.net and it looks like a great tool to have, but I have a question related to it. Once I have the server page set up, there's the banner image they give you that shows server statistics and I'd really like to be able to link that elsewhere but have no idea how to do so. Is there a description somewhere that gives instructions on copy/pasting that image and its link?

I'm having an issue to where when I go into ark I can see my created server in the unoffical but when my friends try and find the server in ark they can't but can find it in the servers section under friends. Do I have to change my ports or is it just others can see it but not us? Please be as descriptive as you can. Thanks.
