ARK easter event Eggs don´t spawn

Nobody found any bunny dodo egg on my server,... Knows anybody why?

I spent about an hour earlier today on an official server and didn't find any. Gave up, not really worth it considering the lame rewards, Loved the Santa hat but the Bunny Ears, LOL!

ok from testing.. out of 50 bunny dodo's nabbed and dragged, I've gotten 10 eggs in 5 mins, but then nothing for an hour... they seem to lay them more frequently at night

The event is live on both official and unofficial servers that have updated to 237.

Bunny dodo's spawn pretty rarely. Helps seemingly to kill reg dodos and dilos or similar in the spawn rotation spots known to have dodo's spawns(different dinos rotate spawning in some spots so you have to kill to set in the next rotation). Eventually there's a chance a bunny eared one will spawn from there.

Prep the following:

1. A large pen(you're gonna want to have tons of room for tons of bunny dodo's.
2. Tons and tons of grappling hooks(used with a flyer to drag the dodo's to the pen since you cant pick them up otherwise). C to release them once in the pen(and dismounted).
3. Many people to work in shifts of searching/bring dodo's to the pen and another who gathers the special eggs.
4. Bunny raptors cant be picked up. Nor are the showing any possibility of their helping with more drops of the special eggs. However, they can drop the same eggs themselves.

Once you get going here's the real kicker:

The egg drop chance is super... super low. Its sharing the stat chances for reg poop, reg egg with it being pretty low. People are saying they're getting a few eggs an hour... with scores of bunny dodos in a pen.

Some of the dodos will also despawn in your pen as well so this is why you have to have dodo search folks and the egg tending folks too.

So if you arent on an unofficial server, single player, or in a large tribe, then the chances you're going to get much for your efforts with this event are pretty thin.

Personally I think this event was poorly done and feels like it was rushed out the door. Given how they've been delaying the release of 237, the reduction in features for it(and splitting it to delay another week(or more) for the other features), the evidence is compelling that they just threw this together haphazardly. Hopefully they'll improve it later or next year, if they do it again.

This event sucks even more than the last one. I wouldn't even call it an event, more like a empty rabbit hole. A whole day, and only 1 person found 1 egg???? And you need 200 for 1 item? I think the Devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this one up real good. When are they going to have an event that does not totally suck??

pve can just give up on this whole event

events shouldn't be grindy. imo the items from events should be obtainable for minimal effort by everyone. it's meant to be fun and it's limited time, makes no sense to me to make them like this.
they just don't seem to nail events at all. it's another pita.

pve can just give up on this whole event

no one on any server can pick up the dodo's on fliers. i don't see why PvE servers are at any disadvantage. yes it's painful for everyone.
unless you don't have grappling hooks? primitive would be a challenge :/

ahh ok didnt realise pvp couldnt pick up either
although i dont think pve can use grapple to pick up wilds

Can't use hook on animal in PvE , which is suck .
And the event last only 5 days , with this low easter egg rate no one gonna have a costume .
If they make bunny dodo lay more easter eggs or kill them for the egg , it would be better ....

You can use Grappling Hooks to pick up Bunny Dodos on any server even PVE, been doing it all day today.

Same thing here. spent an hour or two yesterday morning to find this eggs. Didn't found any. Took me around another hour to find the first male BunnyDodo and another to find the first female dodo. Draged around 5 or 6 more to a pit for farming. in another 6 to 7 Hours only 5 Eggs found. Put them in a box this morning they are gone. Maybe a pal pulled a joke on me or i missed the Decay Timer which wasn't there in my inventory.
