How to start Easter event on unofficial servers?

So I am so confused how to start events on unoffical servers. My server missed the vday one :(

How do I enable the holiday event?

I tried that for the V-day event and someone said there was a command line you had to use. Also tried that and nothin.

Does anyone know what the command line will be for the easter event when it does come out?

Not yet, it will prob just b an update like the christmas

Hopefully its not a command line, the company I rent my server from doesnt allow access to the command line for some reason and I doubt they will add it for days (missed the valentines day event cause of it) so I hope it just is like Christmas/Halloween

They will tell us. Last time the -vday did work.

I hope they add it as an map extention so it works with The Center map and other maps. I believe that's what they are doing now from what I've seen.

Since no one ever removes or updates a thread and this will be looked at again next year... here is an answer. This is what I did for my server.

-ActiveEvent=Easter needs to be placed in the config.bat file

IF you are using a service that has a console rather than letting you access the config.bat file yourself look for a CustomCodeOutline section paste -ActiveEvent=Easter there :)

Save config.bat file and restart server.

Don't forget to run the following admin command to kill all wild dinos and spawn easter ones

then to get the party started sooner:

cheat saveworld
cheat destroywilddinos
cheat saveworld
cheat quit

and for those using Ark Server tools on linux, add this to your .arkmanager.cfg

arkopt_ActiveEvent=Easter

and for solo, throwing this into launch settings will let you see the funky colours and easter stuff. I hope this is a sign that we can run og fear evolved/its sequel and og winter wonderland in the future on demand.

ASM you just pop it in Server Args with the -ActiveEvent=Easter

Please check that a mod such as Better Dinos isn't overriding this - a server I frequent had this issue with the Valentines Day event, and in that case Better Dinos was overriding the Coelacanth.
