Bring down bird? (Argentavis)

So after I log back in from the night before, I like to play my tamed dinosaurs in a place al together in case a fight happens; to where they can all help eachother, and to have them nice and tighty. Everytime I log back in, I check my pets foods, and I go kill/collect resources. In this particular event, I took my Sabertooth a ride into the forest and have some delicous meat for breakfast. With having a suprise heartatteck of losing the tribe's only bird, our Argentavis (Night Owl: lvl 111) As I speak, the flipping bird is the air doing some stalling magic, and just chilling, completely still, no movement, in the air, which is I assume about 20-30 in the air, unable to call him down.
If anyone can sudgest a way to bring the hawk-looking bird down, please let me know, would be a great help. My character is lvl 66 and I have most items, and if I don't, I'll just level up. Thx.

(I can't tell if is mine or not but I assume because it has not moved once since)

Try looking at it with a spyglass and pressing "T" on your keyboard, that usually will work, otherwise you will need to fly up closer and call for it to follow you.

So, it seems, that it has glasses that I put on him, but the calling him down thing didn't work. Thx for the help though.

Use a grappling hook to climb up to him the. Jump on his back

Tame a low level ptera, should be rather quick, fly up and have him follow you down.

glasses? He doesn't mean the glass that you can put on dino's. He means the spyglass/telescope. Look through the spyglass at the argent and hit 'T' to call him.

In general you should put your dinosaurs inside with a dino gate to get them in and out. This way you can keep them near base without worry but still easily access the outside with them. But as people have suggested, using a low level ptera is a good way to get them or spamming J (whistle all follow) to hopefully reach them although sometimes they'll just fly up too high. Lastly I have found that using the transponders (higher level) work really well for finding the dinos you mark.

Pressing j will cause all of his Dinos to follow he just wants the one bird.

Yeah, but if theres no other way then he can do that quick then rearange his pets again. Sucks but i couldnt find any other way either.

No need for a hatchframe. Just place a foundation underneath the bird, get some wood and so on in your inventory and put ladders up as far as you need to be in range to call the bird down. Maybe bring a parachute if you fall down.
