How much RAM do i need to run this game?

I am currently on a Windows 10 laptop with 4 ram and the game is about 90's internet slow. I am probably purchasing 8 ram. Do i need more?

I have 8GB RAM. Yesterday i want to use Nvidia Experience to capture some scenes, my Windows told me there isn't enough RAM. So i upgraded to 12 Gb.
8GB or above (better 12-16) and i recommend a GTX 970 or above.

8gb is fine and if you want a little better fps run in low memory. Coz technically 8gb of ram means you really only have about 6-7 coz of windows services.

I have 8gb and run in low memory, I don't have to but I think it just helps the computer no need to max out.

In low memory I use bout 2gb of ram to run the game maybe spikes up to 3. On normal I use bout 4 and spikes to 5.

4gb Ram works fine for ark. be sure that you start it in low memory mode. The thing most people don't understand is that Ark tries to use as much RAM as possible. It's sometimes not enough if you have 8Gb, sometimes even 16Gb are not enough.. Your HDD is used as a kind of ram as long as additional ram is needed for the game. It may lag sometimes with 4Gb ram only but you can still play the game. No need to upgrade your Pc.

I can run this game on an Intel dual core with 4 gigs of ram and an MSI R9 270 at medium settings and with minimal stuttering.

it can go down to 4gb with 4gb setting but mim in normal game is 8gb.

What are your other specs? CPU, GPU, HD, SSD, etc...

Low ram could make the game run slow, however there's a good chance that there are other factors as well. I have a laptop and the game runs fine, but the vast majority of laptops will have a very hard time running the game at all.
